Pundits on TV seem to think a democrat could win in Alabama: I doubt it. However, I'll update this blog post in the unlikely event it happens.
Today, Roy Moore, a clown who's been credibly-accused of molesting a little girl, rode on a horse to cast his vote. If that's what people in Alabama want representing them, there's nothing anybody can do about it.
Meanwhile:
Trump tweeted that senator Kirsten Gillibrand would do anything for cash. Trump knows exactly what he's doing by tweeting that. Any man who reads it will understand it since we know how men brag to other men about women. It was a sleazy tweet that'll prob stimulate perverted minds everywhere. May I remind you Trump is president of the United States & not a horny teenage boy?
So that's what we have as far as president of the United States & (potentially) a senator from Alabama. The faster we accept reality the quicker we can work towards better options. On the left & in the resistance, there's no point in blaming each other for the leaders we have. & we need to get to work.
***UPDATE:
Earlier today I posted the message above about Roy Moore, & I'm glad I was wrong:
In a surprisingly compelling manner, tonight I watched as Steve Kornacki narrated the results coming in showing Doug Jones had a chance at winning. I never believe it (because this is Alabama after all), but in the end, the state surprised me as well as the rest of the nation. Despite being a red state, Alabama was not willing to elect a man credibly-accused of being a pedophile to the upper chamber.
In addition, by supporting a man like Roy Moore, tonight Trump has lost more political capital & even more moral credibility (if he even had any left).
