Charlie Rose & the constant allegations of sexual harassment in politics & news-media

Charlie Rose is the latest personality being accused of sexual harassment:

"Eight women have told The Washington Post that longtime television host Charlie Rose made unwanted sexual advances toward them, including lewd phone calls, walking around naked in their presence, or groping their breasts, buttocks or genital areas."

In quick succession, Rose was fired by CBS & PBS:
"Charlie Rose fired by CBS, and PBS drops his talk show over sexual harassment allegations":

"Rose’s departure marks the downfall of one of television’s most venerable journalists and a major blow to CBS News, which enjoyed its greatest success ever in the morning thanks to “CBS This Morning,” which was built around Rose and his co-anchors, Gayle King and Norah O’Donnell, in 2012."

There are so many allegations against so many high-profile people, it's hard to keep track. There are even allegations against NYTimes reporter Glenn Thrush who I consider to be an excellent reporter:

"McGann published text messages between the 50-year-old Thrush and the friend of a 23-year-old woman who said she had been left "in tears" after resisting Thrush's advances after a colleague's going-away party in June."
Thrush said he was "deeply sorry" for an encounter that happened in June, in which a woman said Thrush began kissing her on the street after they had been in a bar.

These are all serious accusations of wrong-doing, but I think not all of these cases are the same. To my thinking, Glenn Thrush getting drunk, trying to kiss a woman is of course much more common & not as horrible as Harvey Weinstein's rape allegations (& Weinstein's secret network of ex-Mossad agents who worked to keep people from speaking out against him):

"Harvey Weinstein’s 91-Name Hitlist,Revealed

"In early November, Ronan Farrow at The New Yorker published his second bombshell report on Weinstein, detailing the secret network of ex-Mossad agents and lawyers who had worked with Weinstein to keep people from speaking out against him. The list published in The Observer, apparently compiled by Weinstein himself, was reportedly doled out to this network in order for them to extract information about those who either knew stories about his misconduct or who might have been about to accuse him."

Recently, New York Democratic senator Kirsten Gillibrand said Bill Clinton should've resigned which I think is the wrong way to approach the subject. If somebody had asked me if Bill Clinton should've resigned, I would have said:"Clinton is no longer president & since this isn't 1997, it's 2017, what is much more relevant today is whether Trump should resign. Not to mention the allegations of pedophilia against Roy Moore".

Speaking of that, Trump decided to endorse Roy Moore for the U.S. senate today. The Donald even let it slip about the accusers: "the women are Trump voters" he said, which in his egotistical mind probably makes them believable.
Though not believable enough for Trump not to endorse accused child molester Moore:
"President Trump just endorsed Roy Moore, for all intents and purposes"
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2017/11/20/the-white-house-just-effectively-endorsed-roy-moore/

"President Trump has now echoed Conway's comments, telling reporters before heading to Florida on Tuesday that “we don’t need a liberal person in there -- a Democrat.” Trump also added multiple times that Moore "denies" or "totally denies" the accusations against him and that “40 years is a long time.” Trump also declined to rule out campaigning for Moore. "I'll be letting you know next week," Trump said.
So while other Republicans have said they find Moore's accusers to be credible and have said he needs to drop out, Trump is effectively endorsing him over Democratic nominee Doug Jones and suggesting Moore's denials might hold water. That sets up an interesting clash if Moore does win."
