& I gotta say, I had high hopes the Lions (who beat the Cardinals) would be defeated by the Giants (who were playing at home & had Odell active):
Instead, Giants are now in a 0-2 hole.
Apparently, defeating the Cardinals (35 to 23) propelled the Lions to continue dominating, & this time they beat the Giants by a slightly wider margin (24-10).
As far as the Arizona Cardinals, yesterday they did win, & are now 1-1 which is a lot better than being in an 0-2 hole (like the Giants). I know I should be content about it (& I am). However, I gotta be honest; the team wasn't performing effectively (especially the offensive line) for most of the game, not until the fourth quarter anyway.
Don't get me wrong, the Cardinals responded when they needed to. But I guess I was expecting an easy victory against a flawed Colts team (instead of the close 16-13 win). However, nothing's EASY in the NFL, & next week's "Monday Night Football" game against Dallas will be anything but:
"With games coming up against Dallas on Monday night, and then Philadelphia and Tampa Bay, Arizona may not be able to rally from such slow starts, as they did against Indianapolis."
http://www.espn.com/blog/nfcwest/post/_/id/127407/cardinals-offense-will-go-as-far-as-carson-palmer-can-take-it
& speaking of Dallas, Cowboys lost 42 to 17 against the Broncos which came as a surprise to me since I thought Dallas had a much better team. But I guess I shouldn't have been surprised knowing what Broncos D is capable of doing.
Also, Prescott had two interceptions, which left the Dallas press to wonder why they (& the fans) were initially lulled into "a false sense of security":
"Blame Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott? Why Cowboys loss to Denver was so jarring"
"This is what made Sunday afternoon's events at Sports Authority Field so jarring. A 42-17 loss to Denver is bad enough. But for the first time in their professional careers, Prescott and Elliott were completely and utterly ineffective."In other NFL news, Panthers won against the Bills but TE Greg Olsen was injured in the first half of the game & will now miss 6-8 weeks:
"Greg Olsen undergoes surgery on broken foot, to miss 6-8 weeks"

Panthers have now won two games; they're 2-0 which could be good news for Carolina after enduring a losing season in '16. However, the games won were: 23-3 against the 49ers (who've had two recent losing seasons '15 & '16) & a close game 9-3 against the Bills (who've also had a losing season in '16). & now with Olsen gone, things could prove difficult next week when they play against a desperate-to-get-out-of-the-0-2-hole Saints.
"Saints open as underdogs to the Carolina Panthers"
http://www.nola.com/saints/index.ssf/2017/09/saints_open_as_underdogs_to_th.html
"The New Orleans Saints open the week as 6-point underdogs as they look to avoid their third consecutive 0-3 start to a season with a win Sunday against the host Carolina Panthers.
Cam Newton and Co. have opened the season 2-0 and are coming off of a 9-3 win against the Bills on Sunday, while the Saints are looking to bounce back from losses to the Vikings and the Patriots, which they lost by 10 and 16 points, respectively."
